TILE 101

Not all tiles are created equal. Our expert installers are always sure to take into account not only the look of the tile but how it will perform based on environmental conditions to make sure your project remains beautiful for years to come. Here are some of the most popular tile types that we work with every day.

Ceramic
Ceramic
Ceramic Overview
Ceramic tile is made primarily of clay mixed with various minerals and water. This composition is then processed with heat to create the solidified product. Since ceramic is porous, the top surface is usually sealed with a glaze. This glaze surface determines the tile color, design & texture.

Glazed porcelain tiles are much harder and suitable for any application. Full body porcelain tiles carry the color and pattern through the entire thickness of the tile and work from residential to the highest traffic commercial areas.
